Ski Solitude Mountain Resort with Chevy

If there has ever been an ultimate time to shop Chevy, now would be it! Fall is in full swing, but when you live in Utah you know that can be short-lived. Here are Larry H. Miller Chevrolet in Murray we think it’s better to be prepared for winter than to be surprised by it.

If you are thinking that it is about time to get a new vehicle to handle the snow, we couldn’t agree more. The specials are great, and the 2017 models are top-of-the-line. But when you purchase one of these fancy new vehicles you will also get two free passes to ski at Solitude Mountain Resort.

Whether you’re a novice ski bunny or an Olympic pro, Solitude has just about everything you need to make winter a season to look forward to. With a tagline like “Winter, done right,” there are some pretty lofty expectations set.

Here’s what you can do, where you can stay, and even what you can eat while on the slopes at Solitude:

WHAT TO DO?
Aside from the obvious, there is still lots to do to get your winter on. For skiers, Solitude offers 77 runs varying in difficulty. With everything from beginner to double black diamonds runs, there is no skill level that won’t be tested here. For the more faint-of-heart, there is also snowshoeing offered through the Nordic Center with well over ten kilometers of trails you can explore. No need to fear about getting lost; the trails are very well-marked.

WHERE TO STAY?
With as many accommodation options as there are ski runs, it can be awfully tempting to take advantage of the pass you get with your new Chevy and make a weekend getaway out of it. Take advantage of their great packages, like the spa package. What could be better than a morning on the slopes and an afternoon being pampered? Nothing, that’s what.

WHERE TO EAT?
Eating is of great importance, especially after a long day hitting the slopes. If there is one thing that can ruin even the most perfect day at Solitude, it’s a hangry ski buddy. Solitude offers a variety of rich dining options, all based on the philosophy that eating meals made from scratch with fresh ingredients is just better for you. But if you are looking for a memorable dining experience, make your way along the lantern-lit path through the snowy winter woods to The Yurt. Here you will be treated to a four-course meal in a beautiful Mongolian Yurt. Truly magical.

Can you believe all this is possible up Cottonwood Canyon? And so much more could be yours when you come in and purchase a new 2017 Chevy model. We took one of our Traverse models up to just see how it would look, and we are convinced that there is nothing better than a Chevy with a pair of skis strapped to the top of it. We think those should be your skis on your new Chevy. Think about it.

2018 Chevy Traverse: Not So Itty Bitty with Amenities to Spare

When it comes to picking out a new SUV, it’s a tough call when it comes to which is more important: space or efficiency. With busy schedules that revolve around work and family, it is important to have a vehicle that you can depend on to have the room you need for people and all the things that they come with. It is just as important to have a vehicle that won’t break the bank every time you pull up to the gas pump.

At Larry H. Miller Chevrolet of Murray, we think we have something that provides the best of both worlds, and it has come a few months early—the all-new 2018 Chevy Traverse. This midsize crossover SUV can provide you with many of the features you would expect from a full-size SUV with the capabilities you like in a midsize.

Oodles of Space for People and Stuff—If you’re looking for a vehicle that will move people, the Chevy Traverse is equipped to do just that. More and more we are seeing these third rows popping up in SUVs of this size. The Chevy Traverse provides a third row that even adults don’t mind sitting in. With more leg room, the place in the back is no longer the most dreaded spot. Plus, with the added features that makes it easy to get back there, it’s no longer a gymnastics routine to get in or out.

For the weekend fixer-uppers, adventure seekers, or kids’ sports chauffeurs, when you are looking for a new SUV your first inclination is to look at how much space will be available to you and all the things you are planning to load and unload into the back of the vehicle.

With the third row of seats, many would scoff at the claim that there is ample space for stuff and people. But with that row in use you have a generous 23 cubic feet of space to back in cleats, balls, pads, sticks, groceries, and even pink tutus if needed.

Not planning on using the third row? Then your available space more than doubles to an abundant 58.1 cubic feet. That’s enough space to pack up for a weekend away, plus a little room for the dog and a friend or two. Did we mention the comfortable captain’s chairs in the second row? With these you’ll be the designated driver for any road trip.

Not planning on going anywhere any time soon because your list of at-home projects seems to be as long as autumn this year? Don’t worry, the Chevy Traverse can handle any weekend do-it-yourselfer and their weekly Home Depot binges. With the second-row seats folded down out of the way you have an available 98.5 cubic feet of storage. So yes, that sideboard that you saw at the shop earlier this week, it will fit perfectly in the back.

Technology Amenities—With so much space for people and stuff, plus the added comfort of the second and third row, it’s hard to believe there are more features that make driving the Traverse a pleasure. More and more vehicles are coming standard with various driver assist systems. From blind spot detection to a great back up camera, this crossover assists you on every front.

One thing that always becomes an issue with a new vehicle like the Traverse are the willing drivers who want to take a turn at the wheel, particularly of the teenage variety. Chevy has got your bases covered with the standard teen driver feature.

This relatively new feature made available in many new Chevy models not only activates the various safety and driver assist features available, but it also tracks the driving habits of your teenager. It will produce a kind of report card that will provide you with an idea of where your teen—or spouse—could use some improvement in their driving.

In any compact SUV, you would never think to find so much space and great added features. The Traverse has these and so much more. At Larry H. Miller Chevrolet Murray, we are anxious to show you all these, and help you get one to park in your driveway. Come down now to see what great deals we have available, and get the perfect SUV for any lifestyle.
